Born 1950 in Prestatyn, North Wales. Living on the Isle of Anglesey.
Mainly making small abstract paintings, on board, canvas and paper.
My paintings evolve through layering techniques, using materials including acrylic paint and mediums, coloured pencils, pastels, Japanese paper, electrical tape and acetate sheet.
Music is very important to me, in particular Baroque, but also Minimalist - where it uses repetitive, gradually changing, sounds and samples.
I am also inspired by things I find a bit incomprehensible. These come from reading about all sorts of subjects and theories, mainly in the field of science. I don't really understand them, but they create a feeling of openness and uncertainty in my mind. They seem to inspire me to want to create - patterns, structures, sequences, repetitions etc.
